Fostering Creativity in Adult Learners with disabilities through arts

Purpose and aim of the project

The FOCAL Project focuses on fostering creativity in adult learners with special educational needs applying the approach of inclusive education. One of the main goals of FOCAL is to support people with special educational needs(SEN) to have equal rights and equal opportunities and to have a say in decisions which affect them as active members of society.
Using the arts and creativity we can get closer to achieving our goal. Partners will develop innovative ways to use different forms of arts like music, dance and drama to give people with SEN new prospectives for their personal development and to improve their everyday life.

 

The Project target group

Adult educators working in creative way with integrative groups

FOCAL Aims and Objectives

- To cause changes in adult education of learners with SEN
- To develop an effective programme to bring together people with and without SEN in education programmes (inclusive approach)
- To involve learners with SEN in lifelong learning process

 

The main project outcome
To develop and implement a manual and a curriculum for a „train the trainer course”

 

The project partners

The partnership consists of 8 institutions from 7 countries(DE,LT,PL,SI,NL,HU,ES) representing a good balance of European regions.
